It’s that time of year when the lucky folks of Washington state get a 2-month break from the rain and cold. Anyone from this area will tell you that our Summer doesn’t really begin until July 4th. Once the Independence Day holiday passes, we’re typically treated to sunny weather, 80-degree temps and dry skies.
Washingtonians come out in full force during the summer months to get their daily dose of Vitamin D and to enjoy our lush green scenery. To celebrate this wonderful time, the Washington Trails Association (WTA) hosts an annual Hike-a-Thon fundraising event. From August 1 until the 31st, teams log the number of miles they hike, while friends, coworkers and family pledge donations per mile or by hike.
This year, Trayvax has signed on as a Corporate Sponsor. We’ve put together a team of “Trailvaxters” and we’re ready to hit the trail! Together we will raise more money for Washington Trails Association than we ever could alone, but we could use your help. We’ve raised $520 to date, but we’d love to give $1000. You can check our progress and help us achieve our goal, by visiting our fundraising page: https://give.wta.org/fundraise/team?ftid=126240.
All donations will go to the Washington Trails Association. WTA's mission is to preserve, enhance, and promote hiking opportunities in Washington state through collaboration, education, advocacy and volunteer trail maintenance. Learn more here: https://www.wta.org.
